The lights in the arena start to lower changing the lights to from their usual shade of yellow to black as the PA System the starts to play the sounds of Fozzy's “Emeny�?into the arena. Different colored lights start to flash on and off throughout the arena. The crowd in the arena then start to boo, as the curtain slowly opens up and David Steel walks though it coming out to the top of the ramp. As the camera gets a good shot of him, he gets to the top of the ramp he stops and looks out into the crowd, as the pyro continues to go off behind him. He then starts to make his way down the entrance ramp. As he does the ring announcer gets up out of his chair at ringside, holding the microphone in hand, and starts to announce David’s arrival in the arena RING ANNOUNCER: Making his way to the ring, Please welcome from Los Angeles, California�?David Steel.   After he is though with the announcing he then goes and sits back down in the chair as David reaches the ring and slides into the ring under the bottom rope. He then goes over to the far turnbuckle and jumps up onto the second rope and taunts the crowd and gets a somewhat evil smile on his face as he hears them boo him. He then jumps off of that turnbuckle and walks over to the side of the ring and bends over and picks up the microphone from the side of the ring. The lights in the arena go back to normal as the music starts to die down a little bit. David looks into the crowd who where still booing, he gets a fed up look on his face as he takes off his sunglass before he brings the microphone up to his lips and starts to speak. DAVID STEEL: Well then what would the first XCW show be, without yours truely in the main event be huh? You see I want to thank Shane McMahon, for being smart enough to put me in the main event of the first ever Xtreme Championship Wrestling show. But you see Shane there is one problme that I have with this. And that is that I have to be in the Gold Rush Tournament at all. I mean come on Shane, you and I both know that I am one of the best wrestlers in this company, and that I may be the best signing that you have made so far. I should just be put into the match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Hell Shane O', I should be just named the XCW World Heavyweight Champion, because everybody knows that I am going to win it anyway, so you may as well just save us all the time, and just hand it to me. But not that it really matters all that much, because I'm going to win this tournament anyway. and then go on to become the XCW World Heavyweight Champion. And the person unlucky enough to draw me as their first and last opponent in the tournament, Michael Mixx. Well Michael I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, well I'm not sorry really, but your hopes and dreams of becoming the World Heavyweight Champion here, are going to go up in smoke, before they have even started. You see, back in World Wide Entertainment, you may of gotten lucky and got one fluke victory over me, but like I said back then, you only got that victory over me, because it was ment to be a tag team match, and my so-called 'tag team partner' at the time my brother Matt Steel, did not even have the class to show up for that match, which took my mind somewhat off of the ball game. But this time, oh this time it's not a tag team match, its just a simple one on one match, it's just you and me, Michael. And this time, the result is going to me diffenet. Because you see this time Michael, it will be me, that comes out as the victor. Because Michael you see this time, there is not anything to take my mind off the match what so ever, and this time, you are going to learn that I am no push over, and if you think for even a mintue, that you are going to pick up yet another victory over me. Then you had better think again, because you are just living in a dream world Mixx. And I am going to turn your dreams into your wrost nightmare. Because there is not anything that I would not do, in order to become the World Champion here.
