Hello Everybody!

Since i toke over the control of the server running this forum, apart from some minor issues in the first days that are all solved, since a while ago everything is under control, more secure and stable then ever.
There have been rumors out there that this forum is going down due to technical problems (1), and lack of financial support(2), etc.
All i want to say about those rumors is, if it was true, it would be News, not rumors.

1 - I DON'T FIND at the moment ANY TECHNICAL PROBLEM that will get this forum down. Its is running stable and smooth, apart from little issues with smillies and simbols (that we are working on), but those are not a priority since first of all in my priorities are the Security of the forum and the server behind it, Stability of the entire system to preview/prevent and avoid any downtime, and security and privacy of our members data.
Its not impossible to happen something to get the forum down, but its all a matter of hours to get it up again (can i say here that this forum is indestructible?), no matter if in the same server, a new one, different datacenter, etc, but the forum will be the same, the same people, the same threads...

2 - We don't have a big Budget, but for now and for the near future it is enough to keep everything working. I don't see any problem here. If the donations stop coming, we can try getting other alternatives to pay the expenses. In a worst case, i would move the forum to a server in my datacenter and i would support its expenses myself.


Its also know by many of you that Nbrado has an old backup of this forum from the time when he was the administrator. He have done everything to upset us, and to disrupt this forum. He has posted out there in blogs personal information from many of us, most of it pure lies and stupid fabrications, trying to get us in panic. Well... that is not working at all, we have nothing to hide, nothing to fear.
Now he's giving out copies of that backup, and many people are concerned about what can result from that.
Not much... the maximum he can do is:
- Access your Private Messages that you had in your Inbox by that time he was admin. All the deleted messages were definitely deleted, he can't get access to them.
- See your e-mail address that you used to sign in the forum.
He CAN'T:
- Get your forum or email password.
- Get anything private from the forum since the day i toke control of everything (Private Messages, email addresses, etc).

His action about are illegal. By law he's not allowed to keep backups of a server that he no longer administrates, and the worst, he can't take advantage of that to access to private data like members email address and Private Messages, and make it public. If any of you get any private information made public originated from him, you can take legal actions against him and you'll get our support for that.
He's also trying to use that backup to start another forum, trying to make everybody believe that its the real forum. But as long as you access the forum as always done, you are in the right forum.

Now i want to give you my word once again: As long as I'm here, you can be sure THIS FORUM WILL NOT GO DOWN. If you can't access to it, don't go somewhere else to look for us, it will be just a matter of time (couple hour maximum) to get the forum back again.
We have a few plans moving on to get more features and new things here, and even if Madeleine case gets solved, there'll be more cases and more reasons to keep us stuck together, looking for the truth and make the freedom of speech a reality.

This forum is not the server, not the system, not the website... This forum is all of us here, you, me, everybody here... and more then just a forum, we are a community
