What must you do to be saved?

The Bible says "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved..." but few people believe the Bible.

They want the glory for themselves, so they do not believe the Bible unless they can twist the Bible to say, "Do many good works and thou shalt be saved."

No, the Bible says salvation is a free gift and God gets all the glory.

Deny it all you please; the Bible will never change for it is God's Word.

Here is what God DID SAY TO DO:

"BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou SHALT BE SAVED..."

He did not say "You might be saved".

He did not say "Perhaps you will be saved".

He not say "You will be saved after you believe AND after you are baptized in water AND after you speak in tongues, AND AND AND..."

He didn't say MAYBE.

He didn't say PROBABLY.

He didn't say IF I FEEL LIKE IT.

He didn't say I WILL TELL YOU MORE LATER.

He said "thou shalt BE saved!"

If I be I am and I am and I be.

I am saved by GRACE alone through FAITH alone in CHRIST alone.

It says "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou SHALT BE SAVED..."  Acts 16.31.

But people don't want to believe the Bible.  They would rather believe they can do many good works and earn their way to heaven and thus they disdain the free gift of salvation wrought and bought by Jesus Christ alone.  They dare not give Christ the glory for they must have it for themselves.

Very Good MrWonder.

What did Paul and Silas mean when they said:

Acts 16:31 (KJV) "31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

In search of truth,

Don
