Easter Made Personal
Who are you looking for
This Easter morn,
A nice man who taught
Or the One Who was Savior born?
Who are you looking for
This Easter day,
A good man of yesterday
Or the One Who can show you the eternal Way?
What are you clinging to
This Easter morn,
Religion so comfortable
Or the One Whose body was torn?
What are you clinging to
This Easter day,
The precious things of this life
Or the One Who in the tomb lay.
Who are you telling
This Easter morn,
No one at all
Or all who are forlorn?
Who are you telling
This Easter day,
Your own private heart
Or to all whom you may?
Easter is more
Than a story that is told,
It is a personal encounter with Christ
To which we forever hold.
