Seems to me we are to pray for them, be subject to the laws in a respectful manner knowing that the offices for our leaders are ordained by God.
1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1 Timothy 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Titus 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
But just like everything else in this earthly life.... who actually wants to obey what God says we are to do! It is so much more fun to believe what we want, when we want, about whom ever we want; and fight and scratch, moan and groan, against the government and blame them for all of our woes every step of the way.
In Christ,
