Scripture: Galatians 4:4?/FONT>But when the fullness of time had come,
God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, in order
to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive
 adoption as children.
Reflection: How hard it is to see with perspective this thing called
time! It's hard to grasp Geologic Time—the lifting of continental
plates and forming of mountains and volcanoes—that has processed
for millions of years; or to believe that science can measure a
nanosecond accurately—that's one billionth of a second; or to deal
with Astronomical Time—viewing galaxies that are millions of light
years away (light travels 182,000 miles per second) and seeing in
present time the explosion of a star that happened millions of years
ago.
With these imponderables in mind, we can be nothing but humble when
God says, "It is time" and sends His son to be born of a virgin in a manger
in Bethlehem. Only when time was ready does God act. Problems would
be solved for us if we could see God doing things in His own good time
instead of trying to fit Him into little boxes according to our schedules.
Jesus reminded His disciples, "It is not for you to know the times?/FONT>
the Father has set by His own authority."
Prayer Starter: Father, thank you for your gift of love given in the
fullness of time for our salvation. All time is yours, even that
which you have lent to us. Amen.
