"Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."  --Ephesians 5:14

One of the best ways you can start your day is to spend time with God. With as much as you have going on these days... work, school, kids, chores, extra-curricular activities... those few precious moments in the morning can often set the tone for the rest of your day.

I would encourage you to spend a few moments, first thing in the morning, in God's Word and in prayer. There are so many instances in the Bible where godly men and women awoke early to spend time with God. In fact, Paul reminds us of this in today's verse!

One of the great benefits of coming to the Lord in the morning is that it prepares you for the challenges of the day and puts you in the right frame of mind. By spending time in God's Word, you refresh your spirit, nourish your soul, and refuel your body. You will be better prepared for whatever life throws your way!

Now, I don't know if you're a morning person or not but if you aren't, try to wake up just a few minutes earlier and I promise you will be amazed at the results.

As you spend time in His Word and in prayer, you will live in the fullness of Christ and the freshness of His renewing spirit. And the best part is... you will have more to give! Ordinary days will become extraordinary, boring days will become exciting, and you will be ready to give more of yourself to your family and friends.

It's my prayer that you would become diligent about spending time with God each and every day... starting your morning at the feet of Jesus. Make it a priority to spend time alone with God and come into His presence. Because there is no better place to be!

One of the best ways you can start off you day is to spend time with God.
