Some of you know me from other communities but I am Katie, 21, living in NC where I go to university.  I am a "missionary's kid" which gives the MK in my name.  I grew up in Sri Lanka, the child of Baptist missionaries. While I am a patriotic American, I sometimes look at my home country from a different point of view than those who have always lived here.  At times, as a result, I will try to internationalize a topic so be forewarned.

 

My passions are evangelism and the understanding God's word not as an abstract or intellectual study but as a practical source of wisdom for daily life.  I glady read and accept the wisdom of those who look at "macro" topics like end-times prophecy and the grand themes of theology.  I will more likely get involved in topics such as how to be a testimony for Christ tonight at the grocery store.
