Born and raised in the South in a Primitive Baptist church, which is what I would call Hyper-Calvinist.  Good folks though.  I liked them.  I left at about the age of 16, thinking I was lost and there was nothing to be done about it.  I lived a lost lifestyle, although I wanted to be a Christian since I was a little child.  God was always calling but I didn't know how to answer.  At almost 21, I was invited to a Pentecostal church where I received Christ as Saviour and Lord.  I spent 18 years there and in non-denominational churches.  I always thought I was too good for the Baptists, and then I finally visited some Baptist churches and have found a home.  I dearly love the Baptists and will look no further.

 

I am married, have four children, and thanks to them, six grandchildren.  Take my advice--have your grandchildren first--they're better than kids.

 

I play the bass guitar in the orchestra at church and my wife plays the saxophone.  One child still at home.  We're building a new house--ugh!  Too much stress!
