Okay. I'll type in my little profile here.  I live in the Chicagoland area in Illinois and will have been married for 14 years in July. I have two children, boy and girl, ages 12 and 8 respectively. My family and I attend a baptist church for 3 years where I rotate teaching children's church for the 3rd and 4th graders. My husband plays a taylor guitar in the worship band. We really like the church. Our pastor used to be an FBI agent for a few years until God called him into the pastorate position he is in now. The Lord saved me at "Bible Time" when I was 10 years old and that was the greatest day in my life. He isn't finished with me yet.  Love, Redeemed |

Hi all, I thought I would take this opportunity to say hello. I have been lurking around , reading your boards for a few months. I enjoy reading what you all have to say. My name is Lisa, I grew up as the daughter of a Minister in the Christian Church. I went to Bible College at Mid-South Christian College (quite a few years ago). I have traveld in various Christian singing groups all of my life. I have one daughter, 17, who will be attending St. Louis Christian College in the fall of 2004. Hi Lisa, Welcome to the community!! Hello to you too! I'm already jealous of you that you can sing! I've always wanted to, but I can't carry a tune to save my life, except for when I sing along with somebody who can. I'm looking forward to you "jumping" into our discussions. Hi, Lisa! I love to sing too! We just had an "Old Fashioned Hymn Singing" service last night and it was so fun. I know at our church we once in a while sing hymns but we mostly sing contemporary Christian songs--no matter!--I just love to sing. =) Welcome to this site. Dear Redeemed and Marianne, Thanks for such a warm welcome. I do hope to soon be able to participate, I am a tax preparer so I am very busy at work right now. It will however, be over in 5 weeks so I can spend more time with this discussion group. I am glad I actually found a real Christian Discussion group. I have been reading the posts here for some time and finally decided that the people here are truly discussing God's word.
