hello. my name is robin. i believe i was a member on this site 6-7 years ago when i first discovered i had pkd. i was the first in my family and since then one of my 4 kids has had symptoms and been tested positive. (there will be a question in here eventually, i promise) i had not been having any problems with my kidneys and my wife policed my diet etc pretty well to make sure i was a good boy. however, all good things etc etc. memorial day weekend i guess a cyst decided it was infected and no longer wanted to hang around and put me in the hospital for a few days. i was on vacation at the time so the drs released me to my personal dr. ok, to the meat of this chapter. my recollection of the last time i had a cyst burst was around 2-3 days of red to brown urine and then all was normal again. i am still passing dark redish brown urine and stil have asome pain in my low back and actually into my abdomen/intestinal area. this seems odd. any one have any experiences like this? i am scheduled for renal cat scan tommorrow and hoping to get a clearrer view of what might be going on. thanks for all the time and effort you all put in to keep this site so active!

robin, from south east pa
