hi Danielle and welcome. I'm sorry you have endometriosis on top of PKD, a double whammy.
before you go for a hysterectomy you may want to get a second opinion. if you are unable to have children at least you won't pass on the PKD gene - leave it to me to find a bright spot.
feel free to ask any PKD questions here, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this board.

Get a second opinion before you have surgery; they used to always recommend surgery but now a days there may be other treatments involving laser and/or medications. Endometriosis can be a big problem! Lin.

Danielle, have you gotten a second opinion? Any type of surgery is very serious and you really should get another opinion, especially from a gynocologist who does not even know your present doctor. There are many causes and treatments for endometriosis. You really need to find out all of your options. Sometimes medication, sometimes a D&C and sometimes nothing. It can be hormonal. Have you seen an endochronologist (hormone specialist) yet? Please let us know what happens.
