My Yoko regurgitate food from time to time. I thought she was having problems with digestion but now I think is a behavior issue. She does this when we are together (husband, Yoko and I) just sharing a quite time and we are giving her a lot of attention and love. Is she trying to give us food??
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Thats odd, its possible she's eating grass when out, or possibly an allergic reaction..without more detail, it's too hard to say what it can be. if it's not frequent, then i would assume there is nothing wrong.
Puppies do many things sometimes that mean nothing. They can have episodes of diarreah for seemingly no reason, then they are fine..its possibly diet related.

Thank you!!
No, it is not frequent, just a couple of times and she keeps playing and eating normal after.
She eats grass, and mushrooms, and whatever she can find. She likes everything even fruits and vegetables.
Peace

Thought I could help but no. Ginger does not bring up food. She cannot handle weather changes. Some TRDs graze on grass, Cathy and mine will. They do not reguritate if grass is oung tender shoots. If having a digestive issue usually phelgm Ginger will look for course shoots.
Perhaps Yoko is excited - I would think too young "to give food".
As m Vet says sometimes dogs just throw-up. If you are concerned please consult your breeder or your Vet.
Otherwise, observe and see if happens less over a limited time and look for triggers. Perhaps, a food or static electricity? Dogs will eat things that are not good for them.
To cleanse digestive tract use chicken breast steamed with white rice. Feed small portions and only this for a few days. Then feed quality dog food.
If you wish to feed human foods the problem will probably return.
There are sites on preparing your own dog food.

Meeko does the same thing from time to time, not sure why he does it but he gets a clean bill of health from the vet.

I prepare her own food. I don't think it is something I should worry about b/c she has done it only a couple of times. I wanted to know if it is a TRD thing. Thank you for your help.

You may want to see if she would eat plain yogurt, it's good for their digestive tract, and most dogs like it.. I myself hate it....

and I'm sure you know, that raisins and grapes are poisonious to dogs... can kill them...

My dogs (well some of them) love Carrots... I had to quit planting tomatoes as Bruiser would eat all of them... (tomatoe vines are also poisonous to dogs).

Bruiser also likes to eat the bark off of certain trees... now if I could just make him poop out his "mulch" in the flower gardens...lol...

She eats yogurt and whatever you put in front of her. I usually add carrots to her diet, as well as other vegetables, she doesn't complain, she loves them all.
Thank you for the advices

Take care with what you feed. There are several foods that we humans have on a regular basis that can cause problems for dogs.

A friend of mine thought she was being kind by sharing her grapes with her dog. One very sick dog, and several hundred dollars later, she found out the cause of her dogs mysterious illness...grapes.

Look at all of the "human" foods you feed and verify all are canine safe.

One of my RR s would do that when her glands were blocked , she was a rescue and till the new diet kicked in fully it was an occassional problem . To much salt in a dogs diet and also wet meat foods are known to cause similar problems .
