Hello Friends,

Ï got an sad story to tell.
Its about my Prague trip,  CZ Tjekkian Republic, not finished yet, because I had to stay 3 plus nights....I have been here since saturday 21st of june.
Its actually my second time in Prague, as the first dog was not sathisfying..

My dog, the new dog I  bought sunday the 22nd june ran away 8 hours later.
A blue stud, 7 months old, called Bronco.

I met the breeders at the hotel, at my second day her in Prague.
The blue stud was very nice. Lovely ridge. Long blue hair. But a bit shy.
I got lots of pictures in my camera, but no cable so I can not upload them at the moment..
Well the sad thing> I lost him later same day, sunday, rewersed out of leach, when he didnt want to go downstairs. He is shy, and I am not common of this type of TRDs. He probably hides. I wish the breeder could tell me more about his personality...

He have been gone for almost  3 days now. I live close to an golf club, and he have been seen there 2 days ago. Its also an way on the the other side of the hotel. Trams and 4 way car road, but I dont think he will reach this area, as he is scared.
Its big traffic and lots of policecars and ambulances sounding...
I have contacted the microchip registration, payed them, and it seemed to make them work harder..... money talks... and they have got pictures from the breeder.
Im looking for him 24 seven....but it seems like I have less support.../
This may sound irresponsible, but Im really not common with this type of TRD,
my own dogs came directly when I call, and got happy like crazy when I call them.
None of them have been gone for more then 5 or 10 min.
If anyone of you know how an shy TRD react in such an situation, please give me support...both me and the area is new for him.

The breeder lives 2 hours away by car, by the way..so I dont think he is running in that direction. He probably hides as said earlier... Trouble is: it hot like crazy here and it makes me more worried...

( Im struggeling against all odds, cz keyboard, breeders with no english educaction,
same with the hotel workers etc etc. \
I feel pretty alone...)
Just an scarey nightmare for an dogowner, I hope for an nice ending....
Probably I have to leave alone, with only an empty cage...I need to go home and support my own kids and dogs. Sad, but true.
Just hope they will call me later on and I can go back and get him

Just hope for an positive support. Kind regards Tina

Sorry about that Tina, there are nothing you can do in that situation as you are a stranger same as the other, pup won't showing up and continue hiding himself , the one who can help finding him is the breeder themselve, and I wish they can come for help and save their own pup !!

I agree Serge, 2 hours away or more should not matter to breeder. The pup is most familiar with them and their voices.
I have been criticized - here everyone on streets has an answer but, not knowing breed incorrect ONE.
It is very common because of their smooth coats to escape collar. I use prong and while gentle leader has been suggested I know I will not lose her using current collar. She is used to it and it is humane. Just looks bad to some. Only used while walking her.

Tina, if you can put something from breeder out for scent. Way lost hunting dogs are found if alive.

Tina,

belive it or not, dogs have found their way back home from greater distances,,so anything is possible..

The ones that spook easy or tend to be shy around strangers and strange sitations require more socialization and exposures.. but if it is naturally in them, they will priobably always tend to  maintain some shyness.
A good measure is not so much how much they spook or react, but how quickly they recover from it.. and adjust their behavior.

One of my pups is simialr.he is very bold and courageuos at home, with our dogs, on our property, but when he goes away from this, he gets shy.. I trust he will grow out of it for the most part, but i think he will always maintain some form of the behavior..

I have had him stay with family, brought him to parks, the vet, pet stores, etc... but his confidence in these situations is not ideal.. so it takes time. but i belive they can overcome it.  he will being staying with family next wekeend for the holiday, so I hope this will help improve it more. I have  even been looking into a dog walker, to come and care for the pups when i am away at work, walk them and play.. it helps and they are never too old to change..they just may take a little longer...

Good luck, i hope you find him..

Thank you guys.
I got a friend in a waiter... he got my number. And the registry of microchips got my homenumber too. And picures, info etc. Police too.
But seems like no one cares, just a dog.
I probablÿ need too leave tomorrow, after searching for him since sunday evening.
I dont need to say what the breeder calles me...her kid is gone.....

I really dont know if its good or bad to put food out there. Either he starve and want to come out of his hole or he needs the food too survive... Did I say he is blue...lol
(I just recalled what I have learnt in Thailand, blue dogs is shy and they like to hide in holes...). Semi wild.
Hope Not!!!!
I saw food placed out there, probably the waiters feeding kittens,  wild kittens...

He is pretty. I will send pics as soon as possible. Fantastic ridge. I dont want to miss him!
By the way, it was an heavy rain tonight. Probably good...hmmm. 32 c degreeds hot!

Im so happy for your support, same with my mum and kids, I bought an new ticket to go home tomorrow....I already had 3 extra days. Dont want to leave Melina alone with 6 dogs. Shes going to an concert tomorrow, and mum and dad have to take care of their own 2 plus mine 6. lol what an mess.
Feels like shit to leave but what can I do.
Probably wait for someone to catch him,
Regards Tina

Hi,
Bronco was found by the green keeper at the golf court, next to my hotel, 16 days after he disappered. They called me from there immediately.

This don´t mean I got him back!!!

I booked an flight directly. But the breeder was there before me. --- AND took him back home!!! she never informed me,
we got very bad connection, no replies when he was gone.
and now she ask for big money $$$$$$$$£££......
suddently she can text english....
asking for payment for hotels, childcare, care of dogs at home- when she was gone, husband had to take free from work, vet care, information costs. etc. etc.

Well. seems like someone have to leave the breed...
either.....xxx or xxx
:-(
bye

So sorry to hear about this.  I don't think that it's right for the breeder to ask for money since that she knew that you are coming to pick up the dog.  Why she has the vet bill and others since that you didn't ask her to pick up Bronco

I am very sorry to hear what happend to you Tina - i cant help but thinking was that something the owner planned on maybe ??

Maybe the pup is too young and maybe im seeing ghosts, but I heard about a similar story in Poland some years back, where people bought a Dobermann

I might be a bit too suspicious but, could the breeders as in the polish example, have taught the dog to run away - and only answer to their voices - and when they picked the dog up after the new owner gave up looking, then  the "breeders"would either pressure the new owner for more money or sell him on to the next buyer

Hope this is not the case and that you find a solution - just only saying if thats whats going on then be carefull
