The East Timor team used M4 carbines with iron sights. As our newest neighbour, and with their new Army, did well with assistance from the ATST advisors (Australian Training and Support Team) who now carry the torch of the AATTV (Australian Army Training Team Viet Nam) fame. They had two female shooters with them, and could they ever run fast during the run-downs, leaving the coaches/safety blokes in the dust. These people had fought the Indonesian Regular Army in jungle warfare from the mid 70's until 1999! Their independance came with a price of many lives over the years. Lets wish them all well.
