The Sourcebook is a collection of public domain and copy-permitted texts for introductory level classes in modern European and World history. (still a valuable resource but doesn't appear to be well maintained, I encountered several dead links, Butch)

The Band of Brothers website contains an arsenal of information about the HBO series, World War II, as well as a Living Memorial with real stories and tributes by and about the generation that lived through the war.

We must never forget the pain and sorrow so many felt that day. So many "common" people showed us that heroes are not a thing of the past, but just the opposite, that they can exist in all of us...
