Well, for the duration of the competition, this was my home. A comfy ole tent with a nice cot and my swag, and next to it is the Land Rover Parentie 6X6 GMV (General Maintenance Vehicle) know as the 'Gun Ambulance'. The vehicle is totally fitted out as a mobile armourer's workshop, kitted with welding eqpt, 2.5kva gen set, vices, tools, and of course a stove and jaffle iron too. Top speed of 110kph on the flat, and took me 4 days of travel time to get up to Greenbank and return to Sydney. Totally diesel with about 110L fuel capacity and two jerries. |
