This is the Owen 9mm Submachine carbine, made south of Wollongong, about 60km south of Sydney during WW2. many were FTR'd at SAF-L during the 1950's and remained in service into the 1960s. Firing semi, and auto, this open bolt firing gun was well liked by the troops who carried it in all conflicts up to Viet Nam. |
