"Shark 20, this is Hand Spike...over.." A RAN helo picks up one of 23's Hamels and takes it off to an isolated spot somewherre in the Beecroft Naval Gunnery Range at Jervis Bay, New South Wales, June 2001. I was on the PRC 77 set, guiding Shark 20, just before he took off with the goods. The rotor wash was fantastic!
Many HE and Smk rds were fired out to sea, and it was impressive, but usually we were too far away to see the splash. |
