To all members, well come to the forum dedicated to the last Enfield, the L85-series Individual Weapon (IW) and the L86-series LSW (Light Support Weapon).  This was the last rifle built by British Royal Ordnance at Enfield Lock (and later Nottingham).  Our first entry is a photo essay that looks at the follow-on rifle to the magnificent L1A1 SLR (self-loading rifle) in UK service.  Later, we'll take a look at the rifle's highly checkered history in-service.  It has not been a happy one for the user.
