There were two news articles in the last week that mentioned the last German soldier from World War I had died and in America there were only two WW1 vets still alive.  The last Commonwealth veteran from the Great War passed away in 2007 at the age of 109.

The "Greatest Generation" of WW2 is passing away at approximately 1,200 per day, and many of these men also fought in the Korean War.  The Vietnam War ended 33 years ago and my peers are now showing the signs of old age infirmaties at our reunions.  Thank all of you vetrans for your service .  Thank you all for your sacrifices in peace and war.
