MSN ISP account holders are given 30 meg

Non-MSN ISP subscribers are given 3 megs of free server space per user id
(unique email/passport account (wink wink, nudge nudge ... know what I mean))

Non-MSN ISP subscribers may purchase 30 meg of server space

The following is verbatim from MSN:

Do you frequently have to delete content from your MSN Groups to stay under your allotted storage limit? Have you ever wanted more storage space for all of your files, photos, and message board attachments? You can get it with MSN Extra Storage.

With MSN Extra Storage you receive:

 • Five times the amount of storage space for your MSN Groups—the perfect place for high-resolution photos, and other large files.
 • An MSN Hotmail account with five times the amount of free Hotmail storage and the ability to send larger message attachments.

For a low yearly fee, MSN Extra Storage is available to you if you meet all of the following:

 • You have an active MSN Hotmail account.
 • You have a 3-MB storage quota associated with the Microsoft .NET Passport you use to sign in to your MSN Groups. (To determine how much storage space you are currently allotted in MSN Groups under your .NET Passport account, see How do I find out how much storage space I've used?)
 • You live in an area that supports MSN Extra Storage. For a list of these areas, see the Notes section below.

If you live in an area that supports MSN Extra Storage, you can become a subscriber by:

 • Signing up for an MSN Internet Access Account (MSNIA). Go to the MSN Internet Access site to learn about the different MSNIA options. (An MSNIA subscription automatically gives you 30 MB of free storage on MSN Groups when you're signed in with your MSNIA account name.)
 • Signing up for an MSN Hotmail account, which will automatically give you a Microsoft .NET Passport account that you can use to rejoin your MSN Groups. Under this new Microsoft .NET Passport account, you can subscribe to MSN Extra Storage from within any of your MSN Groups. You will then be able to add up to 30 MB of content across all the MSN Groups you belong to under your new Microsoft .NET Passport account. Sign up for a free Hotmail account at MSN Hotmail.

Get the most out of your MSN Groups with MSN Extra Storage!

Notes

 • The MSN Extra Storage purchase option is currently available in the following languages and areas: English (United States, United Kingdom, Canada), Spanish (Spain), Japanese (Japan), French (Canada, France), German (Germany), Dutch (Netherlands), and Italian (Italy).
 • MSNIA is available only in the U.S.
