For those 2nd Amendment activists, Phoenix, AZ will be the 2008 site for the 23rd Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC) from September 26 to 28, 2008, at the Sheraton Crescent.

Attendance is free of charge.  All books, monographs, and other materials are provided.  A working luncheon on September 27, along with Friday and Saturday receptions, morning and afternoon snack breaks are free for the participants.  Transportation and room accomodations will be borne by the participants.

This year's topics include:  city gun bans, youth violence, "smart" guns, concealed carry, federal legislation, legal action, gun show regulation, and state and local activity.  There will be a preview of the upcoming November election and the impact of the USSC Heller vs. Washington, DC decision.

Registrations can be e-mailed to [email protected].  Room accomodations can be arranged by calling the Sheraton at 1-800-325-3535.  Make sure you tell them that you are with the GRPC 2008 to get the special rate of $102 per night.  Additional information on GRPC 2008 can be found at either site:  www.saf.org or www.ccrkba.org.

If you are in the Phoenix, AZ area and can make it, I heartily endorse attending the GRPC.  You'll meet some very wonderful people there and have a grand time.  Speaking as one who's attended five past conferences, I can tell you that they are very worthwhile and you'll be glad that you attended.
