Words fail me at this point.  Boys and girls, we're in deep do-do.

Democrats say McCain can help mediate standoffs

AP/Yahoo ^ | November 5, 2008 | BETH FOUHY

Before resting from the grueling presidential race, John McCain began discussing with senior aides what role he will play in the Senate now that he has promised to work with the man who defeated him for president. Democrats, who padded their majorities in the House and Senate, have a suggestion: McCain can mediate solutions to partisan standoffs on key legislation as he did to help avert a constitutional meltdown over judicial confirmations in 2005. "There's a need for the old John McCain, a leader who worked in a bipartisan way," Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Wednesday.

Yeah, they have a need for a "leader" who will bend over to their wishes.

I gave it some thought overnight and here's my analysis.

McCain had no strategy for our nation. This entire article is about the strategy for HIM. There’s a difference and he stood for nothing beyond himself. Which by the way defines a “maverick.?nbsp; In fact, when he did finally shift to the right, he was PRETENDING to be conservative, and it sounded like it. He just kept reciting a list of talking points, instead of speaking from the heart.

He missed too many golden opportunities.  He should have had Gov. Palin hit the conservative talk show circuit and LOCAL TV news outlets in key areas, instead of sending her into the enemy camp.  He should never had taken Rev. Wright off the table.  His people should have done opposition research to dig up Obama’s ties to evil people.

The problem is, McCain's entire campaign started out with the message: "I am a former P.O.W. Vote for me."

McCain was a loser when he was selected by Democrat crossover voters during the primaries. That's why they voted for him and not Romney.  They thought he was the easiest to beat for Hillary.  Of course, he was the hero of the country club Republican higher ups. The party began betraying its base with the selection of Bob Dole as the sacrificial election opportunity waster in 1996. McCain played the same role in 2008 . . . just a name to fill in the top of the ticket while allowing the Democrat the easiest possible road to victory.

The only strategy that could have worked for McCain would have been to actually campaign as a Conservative. He was the media’s choice and since he had a RINO reputation with many Conservatives even that strategy may not have worked. The race was close because of Sarah.

These same shameless sellouts are attacking Sarah Palin, trying to saddle her with this embarrassing and disgraceful campaign performance.  She brought some Conservatives back to the process that McCain lost during the primaries.  Republican party RINOs are responsible for the loss of the house and senate in 2006 and for the pathetic showing this year. As Conservatives, we must reclaim the party and throw the traitors and sell-outs to their Democrat/MSM buddies. We can take a first small step by making Republican primaries open to registered Republicans only.
