I thought I would start up this board as a way of getting everyone evolved in the web site.  The idea is like the "Show and tell" sessions that we had at school when I was a kid.

It doesn't matter if the item isn't FAL related so long as it's from your own collection.  Post a pic of it and tell everyone about it.  The item doesn't have to be flash, big or rare.

Once a week I would like the class to bring something to show and tell.  When it's your turn come to the front of the classroom and show and tell us all about what you've brought along.

Here we go..............

Here's a side collection of mine, The US M17A1 Respirator and accessories

Left to Right
Nylon carrier
Cotton duct carrier
M17A1 Gas mask fitted with clear outsert lenses, M4 winterisation kit and M6A2 Hood.

M4 winterisation kit
M1 waterproofing bag

Adaptor cap for canteen
Operators manual (1987)
Optical inserts (corrective glasses)
Amber outsert lenses
Green laser protection outsert lenses

M1 Resuscitation Tube (this tube can only be used on the M17A1 Gas masks)

I've always like the M17 series of respirators ever since the first training weekend with the NBCD (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Defence) Troop of 6 Field Squadron, Royal New Zealand Engineers (RNZE) back around 1987.  This was before New Zealand became "Nuclear Free" and the terminology NBC became a dirty word and the troop was disbanded

Our Training Warrant Officer carried a M17A1 respirator while we used the standard British S6 respirators.  Of course the S6 is a better mask to train with and do filter changes on but the M17 respirator looked cool  LOL

Now I collect the damn things
