I think you have one of the Israeli ejection port dust cover units there have been a few for sale over the past 3 or 4 years.  Is yours for sale or are you just teasing us?

I can only get the pic to load about the first 1/4 of the pic and then it stops if you send me the pic via email I'll atach it to the thread.

If it's for sale I'm interested in it

Sorry collector, item not for sale, don't want to tease but I'm not a computer nerd ,everything is new for me.If you only knew how long it took me to add the extention, and then to come to the conclusion that I put it in the wrong colom! You schould have merci for me.
With the bar at the bottom I can move the picture to the left.
Check out the general colom.I've managed to put a picture of one of my rifles on it.
But I'm affraid that you going to encounter the same problem.
I'm sorry to all members,I'm not a bad boy.
P.S; It's far into the night here and my wife calls me to bed, sweet dreams

Hi Kevin , about the dustcover. You mentioned it could be Israeli, but were they ever issued? I don't find a single picture with these attached to the rifle. Here in Belgium they were also very scarse.Whenever I find one I take it and we will see whether you like to take it or not.No obligations.
Groetjes (greetings) ruudje

Ruudje-c,

I've seen your cover before and it looks like one that the Israelis played with for their FALs.  The Israelis also had bolt carriers with 'sand cuts' just like the L1A1.  I do know that FN offered 'sand cut' bolt carriers.

As I remember, the Israeli carriers did not put in all the sand relief areas in the carrier or bolt body that the British and Australians did with their parts.  (I saw these parts over 15 years ago and my memory isn't too sharp on the details.)  Also, the Israelis did not modify the upper receiver with 'sand cuts' as was done on the L1A1.

After two wars (1956 and 1967) with the FAL as the primary battle rifle, the Israelis opted for the Galil in the 1973 and 1982 shoot 'em ups [along with the FAL and M16].  In fact, the Americans even gave the Israelis M14 rifles in 1973 and these have been used by their snipers since then!
