Dosen't the FALO use the standard FAL Combo device BFA or are you looking for another version?

Any chance of a pic so we know what to look for :)

Ah, do you mean "blank adapter"?

Seriously, there were several different flash suppressors used on the Belgian FALO automatic rifle version of the FAL.  Does your rifle have a slotted suppressor similar to that of the L1A1 or the suppressor that resembles the FN "combination device" [tubular suppressor, grenade launcher, bayonet mount] with the holes in it?

On some of the FALO rilfes, the flash suppressor was designed to be replaced by a dedicated blank firing adapter (BFA).  You'll need to post a photo of the flash   suppressor that's on your rifle to determine the kind needed.

Depending on the type you have, this may or may not be an easy problem to solve.

Above: This example of the FALO has the slotted-type flash suppressor (FN Type 50.41).  Later production automatic rifles used the rows of angled holes (FN Type 50.42) found on the combination flash suppressor/grenade launcher "combination device."

First off, yes I did mean "Blank Adapter" not "Black Adapter".

NZ ----- It is my understanding that the BFA for the FALO had a longer shank than the ones commonly seen on the market in the US. There is a picture of it in the Blake Stevens book. Will look the page number up tonight when I have a chance.

MasterGunner ----- I have the FH that is similar to the Combo Device with the rows of angled holes. As stated above, It is my understanding that the BFA for the FALO had a longer shank than the ones commonly seen on the market in the US. There is a picture of it in the Blake Stevens book. Will look the page number up tonight when I have a chance.

I found the page in the book.  It states the longer one is for the early 22mm Combo device.

I think your overlooking the basics of manufacturing.  With something like the 'FAL' and  'FALO' since they are 95% the same the company would also make sure the accessories would fit the same between the two, this saves in the cost of the accessories.

Unless your FALO has the early 22mm combo device then the standard FAL Blank Firing Device should work on the FALO combo device and vice versa.

Sound reasonable?

Sounds very reasonable. I guess now I just want one of the longer ones to add to the collection.

If you have the page number in Blake Stevens' book, it would help. I can't believe there is a part for these things that I don't have in a box somewhere.  I used to be in the parts business and collected the rifles since 1988.

I'll take a look at the book this week end. It may take me a bit to figure out which box has which parts in it.
