Anyone want to play Fox and Hounds?
The Fox is the yellow counter. The Hounds are the red counters.
The Hounds always move first ... one move, as in the game of draughts ... diagonally and they can ONLY move FORWARDS. The Hounds must act together in a disciplined manner.
After one move from the Hounds ... The Fox can move ... one move as in draughts, diagonally ... but, the Fox can move either FORWARDS, or BACKWARDS. ( Sneaky Fox needs some advantage over those dumb Hounds! )
You cannot Jump or Take an opponents piece. The aim for the Hounds is to block the way through for the Fox and pen it in so that it cannot move at all ... and cannot reach the opposite side of the board.
The aim of the game for the Fox is to pass the Hounds and reach the opposite side of the board ... again, the Fox cannot jump a Hound or Take a Hound ... The Fox must sneak his way past the Hounds to win.
Play with me ... play with me! You can choose whether you want to be the fox or the Hounds!
