The first time I drove a car was...? In 1968, I was only 15 and my big brother thought he'd teach me to drive. We went up on side hill road where there's very little traffic. I did just fine..it was his car and I was surprised that he would let me drive it. He wasn't exactly the giving "brotherly" type. Well he got bored with it after an hour or so, and we went on home with him saying how we would do this every night for an hour so that when I turned 16 I could pass my test. I was quite encouraged to have my big brother wanting to help me since normally I was just a nuisance to him. As I pulled into our driveway, he wanted me to back up to a spot on the side of the drive..and I backed right into a tree.. STOP, he screeched...I put a pretty good dent in the bumper..and that was the LAST time I drove his car!!! (until I was much older) The first time you noticed the opposite sex..... |
