Oh Robyn - that is such a moving story.  I remember you telling me about Spot when I stayed with you last year - So I know what a place he held on your heart.

 

Isn't it a measure of a person's humanity and innate goodness when they can love animals so much and know that in return all they will get is that creature's affection (if they are lucky).
