I am begiing to realise how laid back these people are ..
Time means nothing here ( been waiting 4 weeks on a plumber)

when we arrived at the ferry I had feelings of excitement mixed with a bit of " Oh My God " what if it is not what i thought it would be....

We sailed overnight as it takes 17 hours to reach here from Aberdeen ..the Ferry is huge aand it has 3 cinemas in it 3 restuarunts and lovely en-suite cabins...Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the staff could not have been more helpful...

We got the furballs settled in the kennels for the night and went of to explore the ship....We went on deck to watch as we sailed away from aberdeen Harbour....No Regrets...just anticipation

Around 7pm we decided to got for a meal and I could not believe that i was sitting eating my meal and looking out at the sea as we sailed along the water was like aquamarine crystal.....

Half an hour later and the sea had changed to a force 7 gale and here was yours truly sending her meal right down the big white telephone in the loo...( Cant believe you can throw up so much )

Anyway managed to sleep for a couple of hours and when i awoke I thought ( and stupudly so ) LOL I would go outside for a ciggy and a coffee...Got out ok but when I went to go back in the door to the reception was locked....Bit of panic here however they were taking on passengers at Orkney and I managed to catch the attention of one of the passengers who kindly got the steward and let me back in..

It seems the doors automatically close when the weather is rough....
Here was me thinking i was going to have to do the TITANIC scene LOL

Got back to sleep ...

I was woken by the steward to say we would be arriving in Shetland in around half an hour so I was up and ready and standing outside on the deck as we sailed into Shetland..

I cant tell how wonderful it was the sun was shining and I was like a kid at xmas.....All I had to do now was go and collect the dogs who I was a bit worried about as they have never really been in kennels let alone on a ship...

They were very excitd to see us but were nether up nor down with the whole thing...

More to follow
