 Brussels Sprouts at around 10 calories are very low in fat and sodium.
Also a good source of vitamin D and folic acid and have a specific health-promoting compounds called glucosinolates, which are believed to help prevent cancer.
As well as containing plenty of dietary fibre, wieght for weight, sprouts have three times more vitamin C than an orange.
Just 6 sprouts contain the adult daily requirement of vitamin C.
