Where there's a will there's a war!!!!  Kaz is right - this goes on all the time - I had a friend who's mother in law died.  One week before she died in hospital her husbands sister said the mother no longer wanted to talk to him... there had been no rift.  He never got to see his mum alive again.  After the funeral his sister behaved oddly - they soon found out why.  During the last week a new will was written up in which everything was left to his sister.

 

After a few months when everything was settled (he refused to fight the will) his sister turned up saying that their mother had asked her to give him £500.  The money left was £75,000!  He told his sister to keep it and he never spoke to her again.

 

This is something similar.  Your neice may be going through a hard time but what does that have to do with the price of eggs??
