We'd love to see your garden, or flowers, or special plants. Post your pictures, stories, ask for advise or help ~ anything to do with gardening.

Very nice Bob...let us see the finished product.  It's always great to get ideas from lots of sources.

I've been looking through some Herb books trying to learn more about natural cures for what ails us.  The ancients knew so much about things that we've forgotten.  I wondered if it would be nice here to share what we all know about such things.  I'm reading right now about the virtues of the various Chrysanthemum species...what a power house they are.  They can be used for repelling insects which I did always know from when I gardened more.

So what do you think?  Anyone have some knowledge of herbs and flowers?

Candy or Robyn..... Could one of you shrink this pic to normal size. It's much to large to enjoy the way it is.
My brother  calls it pixelled out.

Thank You Candy.....
Janet left Robyn's house warming because she suddenly got sick.
When I got home she had her head between her legs. She said she got sick in someones yard on the way home. She's in bed now.

Does anyone from the UK grow rhubarb? I have, or used to have, several plants dotted around the garden which have yielded loads but this year they all seem to have died. Does anyone else have the same problem? - Kaz

Ohhhhh, Kaz! That rhubarb makes my mouth water! I make a great rhubarb bread (as well as making pies, sauce and cake). I'm not sure, but I think rhubarb has a life expectency and so dies out naturally after while.

RHUBARB BREAD!!! I need that recipe Robyn, not that I've got any rhubarb to make it with!

Yes, rhubarb does die off eventually but these plants were of various ages as we continually take 'cuttings'. Maybe it's the weather, who knows! - Kaz

Someone at work gave me a fig to eat from her tree and I thought,, mm nice So ive bought a tree which is the hardiest one you can get, But I was silly and didnt really read up about fig trees.. seems the roots can go bonkers and you need to put it in a barrel or breeze blocks around where you plant it. So ive bought a big whiskey barrel and planted it in there with John Innes soil based compost,, time will tell if ive done right
