| So, I was reading online about the future and predictions that in just a generation humans could expect to live for 1000 years. There is a debate about whether this could really happen...and IF it should happen....It got me to thinking, If I lived to be 1000, assuming that if Scientists can extend our lives, they can also keep us healthy for those thousand years...(no arthritis, bum knees or tooth aches )..what would I do? WHAT WOULD YOU DO? | |

Some of the things that go through my mind when I'd assume I could live 1000 years..Well, I'm impatient so I'd probably spend the first few hundred years travelling and of course that means spending several decades with each of my UK friends...(got a spare room DAS? )  |

Strange how people perceive you ... My Kids see me as a seriously boring old Fart...preachy, conservative, dull, who stays up 'till they've all come home.  My Wife sees me as childlike simpleton ... who needs everything explained TWICE and needs to go to bed early!  My Friends see me as a dynamic, carefree, bon-viveur ...who doesn't know when to stop enjoying himself.  Oh well .. Like I care.  If I lived to be 1000 ...?? Same as if I'd won the Lottery ... I'd want at least one special friend to share that with. Imagine sitting in a Pub or Club saying ..." You remember when ....?" ... And there was no-one there to say "Yeah! My God ... That was awesome!" One other person to share the good times and the bad ... and remember them! |

I cant believe that there are only three replies to this question! well four now, this is such a great question, so I get to live for a thousand years huh? this could be a problem? important parts might not survive a millenium but it would be cool to see people ride around on air platforms like they did in the Jetsons, I love that little brrrr sound that they used to make, of course the brain might not be as functional as it used to be when you were a kid? you might suffer from short attention span? so it will not matter if you dont have friends to share it with, You wont remember! ha ha ha ha! Now where was I? oh yeah I cant believe that there are only three replies to this question! well four now, so I get to live for a.... I dont think that I would live to be a thousand years old, not the way I am hitting the Pistachio nuts, I am so strung out! stupid supplier shut up shop over the holiday and left me high and dry! I reserve the right to come back and post more about this when I think of it  |

Oh yeah! I think it would take you ages to die, well with a thousand years flashing before your eyes you could be in an undead state for one/two/three years or more? not dead but not quite living, sitting in deaths waiting room till your number is called  |
