Soooo, now that it's okay to chat about all the goodies that were unveiled for us at NC last week, LET'S GET CHATTIN'!!! And to start it out, let's give a shout out for your fave FW-08 product/s!!

Also.....
What do you think will become the most popular by your customers & hosts? Won't it be fun to go back & reread this thread in a couple of months to see if we were right in our guesses?!

I'll be the first to give a shout out for what I think will become a fave of not just me, but also with my customers/hosts is the newest Sprinkle, the SWEET MOCHA HAZELNUT SPRINKLES!!! I can't WAIT to get my hands on a jar of this!!!! If it's anything like the other sprinkles, I can guarantee they'll sell like hotcakes!! Hey, speaking of hot cakes, I bet they'd taste fab sprinkled over some pancakes or atop waffles!! Yum yum!!!

Oh & I LOVE the new Bamboo Knife Block!!! Although I'd probably not lug it along with me to shows....but that new Show To Go cutlery bag sure looks like a winner for taking to shows!!! I'd LOVE to earn that one that's for sure!!

Ok, I could go on & on, but I'll save some of the excitement for the rest of you to chime in on.

So, what's on your SHOUT OUT NEW PRODUCTS FAVE list??

Marian

I definitely agree about the knife block!  I've been wanting one ever since the FC came out.  But I'm really excited about the holiday plates.  I love the holidays and entertain a lot, so I think the new plates/server & the new holiday cookbook will be big hits for me!  I also love that they've brought out the 10" SS Skillet as open stock.  Now if they'd just bring out the sauce pans open stock, I'd be set!

I am already in love with the bamboo square bowl!!!! And I'm pretty sure it's in the level of products that I earned!!

Love the new sprinkles, love the winter/christmas stuff, love the dots stemware. I hope people are willing to pay nearly 40 dollars for it though. Better be hand blown and hand painted for 40 dollars.

I love the new bamboo bowl....I'll be ordering a few more of those!

The new RUFTH trivet is beautiful.

I think I will like the holiday cookbook....time will tell once I get it.

The wine pourer looks nice....I love our new wine opener, so that would be a nice gift set with a bottle of wine wrapped in a dishtowel....

For those of you who saw the cheese grater....is it plastic? Does it seem sturdy? Does it have 2 barrels with it? I've had 2 of the other ones and both of them have cracked on the handle. They are still usable as long as you don't press too hard, but then that makes it hard to shred the cheese. And, of course, they cracked after the warranty was up.

I like the bamboo bowls. I think they will be good for serving bread in them.

The medium dots bowl....is that the same as the pasta bowl?

I like the new grinders also. I like the salt & pepper mill, but I don't use it for salt because I feel like dust can get in there so I only use the pepper part. It's kind of hard to fill (have to use the funnel). So hopefully this one will be easier.

I can't wait to get my new products!!!!!

Monica

yes, the rotary grater is plastic. It does not have two barrels, it does a medium size shred for both hard and soft cheeses.

the medium dots bowl is bigger than the pasta bowl but smaller than the large dots bowl.

I like pretty much everything that's been mentioned so far.  The Bamboo bowl I was nervous about it being heavy but it's nice and light. It sure looked nice in the 3 tiered stand to!

I'm very excited about the Rotary Grater. They wouldn't let US use it/try it but I did insist on feeling how cold the cheddar cheese was before she grated more in the product showcase room.   I'm kind of guessing but I think the the INSIDE of the new drum would hold the old cheese grater in it [if it were entirely round, of course]. It's a NICE and BIG barrel and holds more cheese. You can grate it forward and backward AND make your own cheese blends because the hopper is larger.  It doesn't matter what the temperature of your cheese is and you can do cheddar with parmesan...doesn't make a difference, it will all grate the same! It's still interchangeable for left and right hand use.

For me, it's hard to tell new products that I'm excited about until they're in my hands.  Have to admit, I wasn't thrilled when I saw what they'd come up with.  But I'm hoping I'll be more impressed when I see them in person.  I was hoping for fresh new autumn colors.  Personally, getting sick of green, and as much as I love the cranberry, was looking forward to something new and different.
I really like the look of the new trivet.  The pastry cutter looks neat (now that I realize what it can be used for)
I'm interested in seeing how the wine pourer/stopper works and if it works...
I'm disappointed to hear that people don't like the beaded serveware...thought it looked pretty...
I was also surprised to see Xmas trees instead of something more "seasonal" like snowman, snowflakes, etc.
The bamboo bowl looks interesting...
Can someone explain to me the dots wine glass charms? the point of the charms is to be able to identify your glass from someone else's.  Are they each different? Are they just wire and beads?  They look funny...and I can't make out in pics if they are different colors to help differentiate one glass from another...

What else can the pastry cutter be used for besides cutting pie dough?

PC had a pastry cutter years ago. I had it and got rid of it because I didn't like the way it was designed. This one looks a lot better.

You could also use the pastry cutter for pasta-type items.

There was a recipe, may have been the email from HO last night about cookie pillows, you crimp the edges and cut it into a rectangle.  Think like ravioli.

Could also use it on filled wonton wrappers (like the potstickers from a few years ago) and seal the wontons, then cut with the pastry cutter for a pretty design...

I LOVE the wine glasses - they match the dinnerware perfectly!

I just got my products today (well, the ones that aren't shipping in mid-August!) and I like the new holiday cookbook.

I like the style of the "holiday" appetizer plates as well, but as others have mentioned, why call them holiday when they are clearly Christmas?

I would have rather seen snowmen or snowflakes to be able to use them all winter long.

I love the size of the new oval dotted platter....not as big as the cranberry, but perfect for family time!

Wish I could see the wine glasses, and the bamboo bowl, they are 2 of the things that will be shipped in mid-August.  sigh, more waiting!

One of my favorite new things is the NEW PRODUCT BOXES!!

I love the fold type boxes for the SA and stoneware instead of having to cut through the tape and try to pack it back together for storage.  IThe new design is also for the new appetizer plates ("holiday").  It is just a nicer type of box, especially for items that you may store and not use all the time.

Sounds geeky, I know, but I have to say that is one of my favorite new "products"  LOL

I LOVE the new cheese grater. I used it tonight to grate asiago cheese for my pizza and it works awesome. The cheese didn't stick to the barrel and you could actually get your fingers in there to scrape out the remaining cheese.

It also seems to be sturdier. I have 2 of the old ones and they are both cracked.

I give it a thumbs up!!!!!

I also love the beaded spreader. I can't wait to order the spoon and fork. Looks much nicer in person than in the pictures.

Has anyone looked through the holiday desserts cookbook?! There are some really impressive recipes! I showed my 3-y-o and she kept asking, "Are we going to make it?!" I bet this book will be a hit around November/December when people want fancy, new treats without paying pastry shop prices!

PamperedChefJill3 I so agree with you on the Holiday Cookbook. I was flipping through it yesterday and when I found the ornament balls I was like "Yeah, that will be good for treats". I am the school nurse and with 4 kids in the district I try really hard to keep treats that will fall within parameters for our wellness plan. I think the ornament balls will be a great treat. Not a lot of sweet, but a little and definatly easy and fun to make. So I am sure the boys will love helping me make them.
