Hey Guys,

I should know the answer to this since I've been a consultant for many years, but, I've never not had any shows.

To have the $200 in sales to stay active, what do I need to submit in December?

October was approx. $129 in sales
November was approx. $98 in sales.

Do I have to start at $0 for December and submit $200, or do I need to submit $102 because I can use November's sales?

What a dry spell I'm going through! Let's hope it turns around in  2009!

from Policies and procedures it says:

"To remain active, you must submit at least $200 in
commissionable sales in every consecutive two-month
period (current and previous)"

so you would need submit $102 in December to stay active :)

Yep, you need $102 in December. And then you'll need at least $98 in January again to make Dec+Jan > $200.

So, in those dry spells, $100 a month keeps you active and protects your carreer sales. Good to remember.

I am in such a Dry Spell, that I have not had the money to Advertise.
So Sales are Nill, None, Nada, Zip, Zero, Zilch.
I am hoping that my Christmas Cooking Book (out in Print early next week), which Mentions Items that I use in my home, that are PC, will help Sales to improve.

I don't really advertise.  The only advertising I get is from doing vendor fairs and word of mouth.  I just can't afford to do anything else.  The best way to "advertise" is to just keep your name in front of your customers and hosts through calls and maybe even a newsletter.  I do a monthly email newsletter that helps keep my name in their minds.  I don't always feel like I'm getting much from it since I rarely get feedback after I've sent it anymore, but I sure do hear from my customers when I miss a month!  I also have my name in our local MOPS group's monthly newsletter (which I just so happen to create!).  We don't charge for that as long as you're a member, I know some groups do.  But we also have a section for paid advertisements from businesses.  Something like that might be a possibility.  But the BEST form of advertisement is truly word-of-mouth.  And the highest form of compliment I think!

Other free (yes I know it's not completely free) advertising options would be to drop off catalogs at local businesses in their waiting rooms/lobby's.  You may need to ask permission to drop one off, but if you're sitting somewhere waiting you can always "accidentally" leave one! lol!  You can also leave mini-catties or business cards or homemade flyers on bulletin boards about town.
