Here's a saved email of mine from March of 2002.

Here is a post about BUNCO that I saved from a long time ago.
Angela Broussard wrote: PChef's I fixed this one up be more compatible with PChef.  I never got a response back from any PChef about this game, but I used the MK one that I found on an MK site as a format for this one.

Tammy's Version of
PAMPERED CHEF BUNCO

The Hostess provides food, drinks and ingredients for one recipe.  Do a desert or something simple like Apple Crisp or something that will take a short about of time to make.  This way you can demo a few products without taking up too much time.

The Hostess will send out invitations with explanations that there will be a game of chance played at the show and a $5 entry fee is required to play the game.  Let the guest know the game is optional those that don't want to play can watch the others and eat while the look shop through the catalog.

Even if you are playing this game you can still do a door prize so those who don't want to play will still have the opportunity to win something.

When guest arrive those that want to play will pay $5 each. The Consultant will take the money and hold it.  The Consultant will write out Gift Certificates in various amounts according to how much was collected.  The Gift Certificate will be given to the winner(s) after the game, that way they won't be tempted to put the money in their pockets.  The gift certificates will only be good for redeeming products at the show that night.

The game is played with partners, which is the person across the table from you.

Each person will wear a nametag that will be punched with a hole punch when that person wins a round.

The game is played in 3 rounds.

Prizes For Most Points:
$25 1st prize ?The money is used to purchase PChef products with.
$20 2nd prize ?The money is used to purchase PChef products with.
$10 3rd prize ?The money is used to purchase PChef products with.
$5 booby prize (person with least points) ?The money is used to purchase PChef products with.

*If you only get 8 to play at $5 a piece then the prizes can be adjusted too.  $20-1st prize, $15-2nd prize, $5 booby prize.

You will need:
3 tables
9 dices, 3 at each table
12 Nametag necklaces (Use business cards with a hole and yarn tied into a necklace.  This will make it easier to get access to, so you can punch wholes in the card for the winners of each round.)
12 Players - 4 people to a table

How to Play the Game:
You will roll for? 1's on the first round; 2's on the second round; 3's on the third round; 4's on the fourth round; 5's on the fifth round; 6's on the sixth round

Game Rules and how to earn points:

1.) Let's say you are rolling for 1's. Every time you or your partner rolls a 1, you get a point for every 1 you roll.
2.) The person rolling keeps going as long as he/she is rolling 1's.
3.) The play continues around the table until the following happens: either a team gets to 21 points and yells Bunco OR someone rolls 3 1's and yells Bunco.
4.) When some one yells Bunco the play stops at all tables and the partners at the table with the most points get to punch their tags.
5.) This goes for all numbers you roll.
6.) If you roll 3 of a kind and it is not what you are rolling for--
i.e. you get 3 -4's but you are rolling 2's, you get 5 points, but the play goes to the next person.
7.) If you are the one who Rolls a real Bunco-3 of the number you are rolling for, you get 2 punches and your partner gets 1.
8.) You change tables or places for each round.
9.) If you and your partner win, you move to the next table.
10.) If you lose, you stay—but either way you change chairs so you have a different partner next round.

And here's a reply to the results a consultant had on her PC Bunco Game Show....

Subject: Re: We PC bunco regularly

We have a regular group of consultants who rotate who host the Bunco show.
Last night was PC.  We had 20 guests.  We pay $15 each.

The prizes go....
1)Highest # of buncos
2) who ends up with the traveling bunco , the last one who gets a Bunco.
3) Highest score
4) the next highest score and on down to the booby prize.

Last night we passed out $75, 1/2 price item, use of points, $50, $35, $25,  $15, $10 , $5, 20% off , SB cookbook. The were multiples of the 15, 10 and 5 gift credit until the total $ = the amount collect . Last night it was $300.  The top prize can choose money, points, or 50% off. Next choice goes down the line. (option some consultant do) most people spend more than the win so you end up with a pretty good show.
Shipping and taxes are alway seperate and can not be payed with prize money.
I sent this to you because I do not know how to post it yet, if you could that would be great.  I love doing bunco.  In our group we promote each other as well and make great contacts to host future kitchen show, even if it is not your month.  As well a other consultants are constantly bringing new and different people to the game. So your circle grows beyond your door quickly.

I booked two shows last night with people I had never met.  Have fun and Good Luck!!!

And here's another consultant's compilation of other consultants results doing a PC Bunco Game Show....

Thank you to everyone that responded POSITIVELY to my request for Bunko suggestions.  I had several people ask me to pass on what info I received; so, here it is!  My hostess decided today that she didn't want to do a bunko show after all.  Thanks again!

~"I have done 3 PC Bunco Shows.  They were not done as a demo show. I had fixed food ahead of time and everyone ate when they got there. Everyone paid a fee to play and I used the money as gift certificates for the winners. Usually almost everyone who plays ends up ordering whether they win a gift certificate or not. And most of the time the redeemers of the GC bought more then the certificates were worth. The host can also get outside orders to help her show total.

Angela"

~"I've never done tis type of show but I've played bunko alot.  What I think would work is doing a 1 recipe demo before playing like one of the pizza's.  Then during each table rotation demo a quick product like for one rotation do the APCS, then for the next do the julienne peeler,  whatever wasn't covered during the pizza.  You could also use those times to sprinkle more booking/recruiting suggestions or go
over the cookware & stoneware line more.
As for the prize part, if this is a regular group and they pay when they play (we do $7 a person) use that for gift certificates or coupons instead of dividing up the money or the hostess going out and buying prizes (that's how we play).  And add a Season's Best to those who were in the winning circle.
Elaine Glass"

~"You just have the demo before hand (make it a short one), maybe one recipe and play afterwards.  Don't label the invite as PC show 7pm, Bunko 7:30pm.  Just label the invite to the effect of as PC/Bunko night @7pm sharp.

Michelle"
