I have a hostess who is wanting a festive show, so I suggested doing a ham or turkey in the stoneware. She wants ham. Only problem is that I have never cooked a ham in the stoneware. Anyone have any good ideas or recipes? Thanks~ |

Hey Kim, Or what about turning it into a Brunch Show (yes, even doing one at night, you can call it Breakfast for Dinner theme show!!) & do the Ham and Cheese Omelet Roll.doc . It's always a WOWSER kinda recipe & oh-so-easy to make!! Marian |

I know that if you buy a Spiral Cut ham, they usually come with instructions. The one we made for Thanksgiving did and it was soooo goood!!! My mom also used to make ham cut into cubes, add a can of pineapple chunks juice and all, and some brown sugar. Not sure exactly on the amount of brown sugar or the bake time, but I can call and ask her for the recipe if you want. Michelle |

Not really a recipe for a show but thought you might enjoy it anyway. My favorite (and now my in-laws favorite) is to take a ham (sliced) and put it in a pan. Then in a bowl mix together a small container (about 16 oz) of regular mustard and 2 lb of brown sugar, mix it well and then pour it over the ham. Then as the ham is baking keep basting the ham as the juices of the ham will mix in with the mixture and thin it out. I keep bsting it over and in the ham. Cook it until the ham is heated. |

Thanks for all of the great ideas! I just bought a pre-cooked ham that comes with the glaze. I think I'm just going to bake it ahead of time and I think I'm going to demo the dessert and do a Pumpkin Roll. The weather here is kinda icky and I'm trying to make it a quick show so people can get home early. |

I have an amazing glaze for ham. I don't even eat ham, but this makes me want to! I take the glaze from this recipe and use that on a pre-cooked ham. The apples, etc are a nice base to put underneath the ham in the pan. If you can't find the Steen's, a good dark corn syrup works. |
