I need some help with my Mardi Gras party!  I have a lot of info (thanks to Ginny and hours on the Internet)...just need some game ideas!!  Not really one to do games at my shows other than an introduction game, but I want a game to throw beads!

Last night in chat there was a GREAT idea to do a game/Q&A session focusing on recruiting.  I thought....DOUBLINS!!!  For each question they ask about my job they get a doublin!  Then they can redeem them for a % or $ off their order!  Oooh!  And if they are serious about joining...they can redeem them $ for $ off the purchase of the kit!

Was thinking of throwing the beads to anyone who asked me a question or found an answer for me.  I think a Mardi Gras game might be fun though.

So all you Mardi Gras experts....what would you do for a game?  Don't want just any game....something specific to Mardi Gras.

Need to go to the party store today to find some trinkets to decorate and use for the games....

Michelle

That is a good question Michelle! My mind is blank at the moment but I will try to think of something. The only thing I can think of right now is something you definately don't want to do because it all involves drinking games!! HEHE

I like the idea about the dubloons. If you are making a king cake, (not a game just an idea) whoever gets the piece with the baby wins a free paring knife or something else small.

Here's what we are doing so far....

Jambalaya....trying to figure out how to do the Jumpin Jambalaya in the stockpot instead...

New Orleans Crab Spread with crackers instead of bread....just to save time!

King Cake....easy easy recipe I found...made with cinnamon rolls.  Put the baby inside and the person who gets the baby gets free shipping.

We are going to do the entire demo hands on!  I need to get busy on that!  Going to take the steps and break them all down and put on slips of paper.  Then everyone will draw a step!

Also Hurricane's in the QSP!  Might have to do two...one with alcohol and one without!  I have 2 QSP's and one has a pink plunger so that will work perfectly!

I also want to find a jazzy CD to play while we work!

Oh and everyone who dresses for Mardi Gras gets a mini-cookbook of all the recipes at the show!

Michelle-
As far as jazz music... vs purchasing a cd of it if you yourself aren't that into it... check out the library.... they often have a small cd section that are free to rent...
