My director used to use a recipe for demoing cookware using like 5 marshmallows and some rice krispies.... Anyone know how to do this demo? It sounds really good for showing how great our cookware is.....

We were just talking about this in chat the other day!

Here's what Darcy told us!

Chef_Darcy : I just got an email on the rice krispy treat (just a small amount) hange on

Chef_Darcy : Take the following to each show. (Having a hot plate and extension cord at your demo area works great if you’re not doing the demo in the kitchen)

Chef_Darcy : Ingredients: One “snack size?baggie filled with miniature marshmallow (1/2 C) and one filled with Rice Krispies (1/2 C) and borrow a teaspoon of butter from your host.

Chef_Darcy : Everyone has made or watched someone else make Rice Krispy treats at some point and they know exactly how many days it takes to soak their cookware before those marshmallows decide to kiss the sides of their cookware goodbye.

Chef_Darcy : Sell the benefits of our cookware (either set of cookware works) as you demo before their eyes your abridged version of Rice Krispy treats. (Construction of the cookware lends itself to even heat distribution ?no hot spots or warping, non-stick surface f

Chef_Darcy : Melt the butter in skillet coating sides and bottom well, then add the marshmallows and let them watch it swirl around like water and then add the Rice Krispies to it and mix well. Pour it right out of the skillet onto our parchment paper. Let them see th

Chef_Darcy : Ask someone in the crowd to get you a dry napkin or paper towel and while the skillets warm (immediately after you pour out treats) wipe the skillet clean, make sure you add, "that's how easy it is too clean our cookware, not real sanitary and I don't rec

Chef_Darcy : ooops lost some words....

Chef_Darcy : no hot spots or warping, non-stick surface for easy clean up, oven safe to 350ºF, see through lids and the guarantee!)

Chef_Darcy : Pour it right out of the skillet onto our parchment paper. Let them see they no longer have to add extras marshmallows to feed the sides of the Pan!

Chef_Darcy : "that's how easy it is too clean our cookware, not real sanitary and I don't recommend it but it sure will save you time on clean up!

Chef_Darcy : Here’s how you can get our cookware at half price and discounts! (Explain the benefits of hosting a show!)

Chef_Darcy : Did I totally confuse you? tried to add the words that were cut off...

That's what I needed. I just didn't know the measurements.

Sounds like an excellent, very quick demo to show how great the cookware is!

What size pan did you use? Saute, 10 inch skillet, saucepan???

Also I have made Rice Krispie Treats in the Rice Cooker in the Microwave. The rice cooker cleans up equally as easy as does the skillet. I was very impressed...

Hi guys -- this was for the small saute pan. It's just to show how easy it is to clean up (and see how many guests try to snag it to eat!!)

I haven't tried this yet, may try it tomorrow at home and then at my show on Saturday.

Good luck!

PLEASE NOTE: In the measurements above for the 1/2 cup rice krispies & 1/2 cup marshmallows it should be 1 tablespoon butter not 1 teaspoon!

Okay I went back & checked in Hot Topics and it said 1 tsp. butter not 1 tablespoon so I added a note to the thread.

Therein may have been my issue last night! I just dumped them out on my bar board and didn't expect anyone to eat them and then when I was taking orders in another room the ladies attacked the RK treats glob and found out it wasn't a pull-apart blob, it was a brick! ha!

NO problem! I just didn't want someone else to pick up the wrong measurements! Sorry to have to correct it publicly - thanks for at least having the recipe available - like I said I am DEFINATELY going to do this demo for the cookware at each show!
