I know I might have missed this message, but does anyone have ideas for a mother/daughter show?
What receipe to use? What games to use? What prizes to give out? Anything else to add to the show? Thanks a bunch! My mother/daughter show is the 30th of April!! Heather |

Here are some Fun & Healthy Food Tips you can share with this crowd that I dug up just now (mind you I got these from someone else!): Do you know how to tell a fresh apple from an older apple? Turn the apple over and look at the blossom on the bottom. If the blossom is closed, it is a fresher apple....open, older apple. Take your Apple Wedger and use it on an apple about 3/4 of the way then pull it off. Snap off the core. Fill the center with peanut butter. (Need to put a rubber band around it) You have a healthy snack for you or your kids. Just snap off an apple wedge and dip it right into the peanut butter. You can also use the Wedger on potatoes. Wedge your potatoes and cook on the Rectangle Stone. Spray with some olive oil and sprinkle your spices on top. Voila!...healthy, delicious Potatoes Wedges. Let me tell you another great product...The Corer. Have you ever eaten an apple in the car and you were not sure what to do with the apple core?? Why not core your apples before you leave and you have a healthy snack and no mess. I use this as well on potatoes. Core a potato and hold onto the core. Chop the ends off the potato and discard the CENTER. Fill your potato with toppings like cheese and bacon bits then use the ends to PLUG up your potato and cook. Potato Surprise!

Marian, Thank you so much for your tips, I will be sure to keep those receipes in mind as well! I plan to look also in the kid show section to see if there is also anything there that can help me with the girls. Thanks! Heather |

That's a great idea Marian!! You could even fill the core of the apple with Peanut Butter for an extra yummy surprise! A little more mess in the car, but fun anyway! |

I'd have the ones around 7-12 help with the demo! Let them bang on the chopper or help you stir, assemble...the younger ones can do this too, if you want to take the time to help them a little. Mom's love when you include their toddlers! For the older ones, talk about how you can make PB&J with the Cut 'n Seal instead of those pricy ones in the frozen section they all seem to love so much to take for school lunches or a quick snack. College aged kids talk about stuff like the micro cooker, pizza cutter, ice cream scoop, stoneware for frozen convenience foods, you know things young adults need to stock an apartment but don't realize it! I'll do some thinking about gifts...if you are thinking something more special than the regular door prizes (twixits, paring knives, etc.). I'd do a pizza of some sort that they can help with. Veggie pizza or the individual pizza type things. Maybe a dip like the Hot Pizza dip with chips like the Fritos Scoops. Kids love ice cream...everyone loves ice cream! How about the Mango Salsa Sundaes? Uses the Egg Slicer Plus that is perfect for kids to use. Or you could do the Banana Split Brownie Cakes...that would be fun. I'll think some more... Michelle |

Michelle, Those receipes sound good too!! I will have to include in my notes that for each age group to be sure to mention the following..... "college - stoneware, ice cream scooper, etc." That way I can cover all the basics. I agree it is good to have the kids involved, mothers like to (I am mother and I would like it too!!) see their kids involved and having fun! I would like to maybe have each kid do their own sundae kind of thing. Hmmm..... still thinking and brainstorming here... Is there any puzzle or fun game on paper that the kids can do if I am talking about bookings and recruiting so they are entertained and not bored that you know of? |

You could also have the kids make the homemade play dough with the help of the bigger kids at the kitchen table in the other room to keep them occupied after the demo they are involved with is over. Michelle |

Oh GOODIE!!!! Thank you so much for uploading those receipes on here for me! I appreciate it, but I can't seem to find it! Is it located in the documents section under receipes? Because I still can't find it. Would you help navigate for me or upload it here for me? Thanks super much! Heather |
