I know I had it at one time the recipe that used the peels from our a/p/c/slicer to make "gummy worms" but I can't find it ANYWHERE! When I googled it I found a thread somewhere for chefsuccess.com but I can't seem to find that group. It keeps taking me to a page that is no longer available. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! You can email me directly to my address in my profile.

THANK YOU!

Kristin

Nevermind!!! I looked for it on my laptop and then realized that I might have it on my desktop...and I do! Guess I panicked for nothing.  I haven't tried these yet so I'll let you know how it goes.
Here is the recipe if anyone else is interested:

"Gummy Worms"

After peeling apple with Apple Peeler Corer Slicer throw the moist peels in a zip lock bag and pour in your favorite flavor of DRY jello (do not use sugar free). Shake until peels are well coated.

Lay them out on a flat stone and bake at 250 degree for 30 - 45 minutes (depending on the amount of peels).

I have also heard that you need to only bake them for 15-20 minutes

Cool!!!  I've been wanting to make an Apple Pie for the last two weeks now.  Now I have something fun for the kids to do with the peelings!

I print these out on Orange paper and use them as handouts during this time of the year....

I just noticed two things about my handout....

1.  We don't carry the cake tester any longer
2.  Make sure you put your info on there or stamp them with your name/number/website before you give them out!
