Hi!

I just got my free piece of stoneware from our promotion last month and I am super excited!  I got the mini fluted pan because I want to do the little pumpkins, but I'm not sure how!  Can someone please let me know how to do these?

Thanks so much!
Kris

The picture I saw of them were pretty simple looking. Bake whatever cake mix you have and use orange and brown or green frosting  and for the stems use mini tootsie rolls.

I frost with Cream Cheese frosting (my fav) and tint it orange.  Then I use a Tootsie Roll for the stem.  To make sure it's soft enough just roll it around in your hands for a while or stick it in your pocket while you're frosting!  You can go even farther and get some green taffy candies and roll out for leaves!

I use Orange cake mix if I can find it or any white/yellow work well too.  The outside is a golden brown that kinda looks orangish if you can stretch your imagination a bit.  Some I frost all the way orange and some I just make vertical stripes with orange (black if I decide to make it) frosting.  Sprinkle with any kind of sprinkles for a little more fun.  My little sister made some the other day and she drew jack-o-lantern faces on them with white frosting!  Cute!

Think there might be a flyer on these in the docs somewhere too.
Anyway....that's how I do them.

I used the Spice cake, 3 eggs and 1 can of pumpkin recipe when I made them.  That recipe is very tasty and easy!  Use a stiff brush or papertowel and grease the pan VERY well before you put in your mix.  When it is unseasoned it is very easy to have them stick!  I think I used orange candy melts for the coating and then took 2 Green Now/Laters and flattened them and used the leaf cutter from the creative cutters to make 2 leaves and as someone else said a mini tootsie roll for the stem.  I have a picture SOMEWHERE if I could just find it...

Wow!  These sound like some great ideas!  Thanks so much for the tip!  If you could find that picture I would greatly appreciate it!  I'm really excited because I have the creative cutters and could do the leaves too!

Thanks everyone for all of your great responses.  I'd still love to hear any other ideas anyone has too!
