Thought we could create a little holiday fun!  We have threads all about Batter Bowl mixes in the Christmas Central area.  I thought maybe we could come up with other ideas to make food gifts with our products.  Here's how the game will work:

I'll post a product:  Batter Bowl gifts

Then the next person comes up with an idea.  Up to 5 ideas:
1. Batter Bowl Mixes
2.
3.
4.
5.

If you can't think of 5 then stop where you are and the next person picks up where you left off until we get 5 ideas for that product.

THEN:  You challenge the next person to a different product idea of your choice.

Next Challenge:  Your Product Here

Make sense?  Wanna play?  Let's think up some great homemade gifts using our products!

Might as well start with an easy one from the example above...

Batter Bowl gifts...

Mini Baker - wow, I think I've only used this for dips!  This is a hard one!

1.  Cornbread mix with the Soups, Stews, & Chili's Recipe collection.
2.  Line with a cute holiday hand towel or wash cloth and put cookies inside.
3.  All the ingredients to prepare the Hot Pizza Dip along with some Pretzel Sticks tied together with a pretty ribbon and a small bamboo spoon.

3.  Cinnamon sticks tied with a pretty bow and Nutmeg tied in a pretty bag.
4.  Lemons with a small bar pan and recipe for Lemon Bars and Lemon Tartlets
5.  Found this recipe for a Smokehouse Rub that uses the Microplane A LOT!!  Pair it with a couple good steaks from the butcher shop.

Smokehouse Rub

This rub is delicious on beef or pork ribs, brisket, pork chops or your favorite meats.

2 jalapeno peppers grated with Microplane® Medium Ribbon grater
3 green onions chopped fine
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated with Microplane® Fine Grater
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon grated with Microplane® Fine Grater
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg grated with Microplane® Fine Grater
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 garlic cloves grated with Microplane® Fine Grater
4 bay leaves crushed
2 tablespoons oil

Put everything together in bowl and add oil slowly until smooth. Coat the meat and let sit for 30 minutes. Grill until desired wellness.

3. Pair the whisks with the deep dish pie stone, and a recipe/mix for any cream pie recipe that must be cooked on the stove.
4. Tie together with the Delightful Desserts Cookbook.
5. Find recipes on the internet (or email me ) for the 5 "Mother" Sauces (all sauces are variations on the 5 mother sauces) and print on pretty recipe cards. Pair these with the whisk. The 5 mother sauces - in case you were wondering - are Espagnole (brown sauce), Hollandaise, Bechamel (think white or cream gravy), Tomato Sauce, and Veloute' (combo of flour, butter, and broth).
