I agree...celophane and a pretty bow. Or if you're going RIGHT over, you can put them in a basket and cover with a pretty towel. Then they can choose what to do with them after that.
You can also wrap in saran wrap and put in a basket or get one of those big giant baggies and put under the towel if you do the open in a basket thing.
As for how long they stay good....hmm...usually about a week at room temp in a cool dark place depending on the bread of course. It never lasts that long in our house! 2-4 months in the freezer for best taste. I don't like to store bread in the fridge, it dries out.
