I've just recently discovered from another MSN group, that there is another server that MSN uses & its address is as follows:

 

Notice the older server uses this address in your address bar:

 

After arriving at the "msnusers" link, just click onto your FAVORITE MSN group (uh, that'd be WLPCtoo!) & see if it gets you around any faster.  Sometimes one server will be undergoing "maintenence" but the other one isn't.  However, sometimes you'll find BOTH to be undergoing "maintenence" & that's unfortunate.

 

You might wanna bookmark/add to your faves the alternative server route though just in case MSN is acting up on you.  However, I wouldn't completely give up going the older route either b/c the alternative doesn't always working properly, but when it DOES, it goes pretty lightening fast.

 

At any rate I hope that helps alieve some of the frustration....
