I didn't do any of it in the oven truthfully! I did the entire thing on the stovetop! I used (most of) the ingredients only changed the method a bit. But I'm sure you could do it in the baker.
I just realized that it doesn't even call for chicken but I added it anyway! I love chicken in my Jambalaya! I cooked the chicken ahead of time because chicken is messy and I didn't want to inadvertantly spread anything from cross contamination. I'm a big scaredy cat when it comes to cooking chicken. Wash wash wash and wash again! lol!
I bought precooked shrimp that come in the freezer section.
I also used Minute Rice to speed things up and made that in the microwave in the Rice Cooker Plus. But I suppose you could do any rice in the rice cooker.
I threw everything into the classic batter bowl as the sausage was cooking. I cooked the sausage in the Professional Casserole on the stovetop and then threw in the shrimp and cooked chicken. Then I threw in the contents of the BB and the rice all in the casserole.
The show I did it at was when we were doing the cookware promo - sell cookware get some free. So I wanted a way to keep with the Mardi Gras theme and use cookware. The Jambalaya I cook at home (other recipes) are all done on the stovetop so I figured I could do this on that way too. It works out great! Especially in the summer!
Oh and yes just use any cajun seasoning for the crab spread. I think I use McCormick. PC hasn't carried a cajun seasoning since I've been selling.
Clear as mud?
