Please let us know exactly what you all are putting & sending out in your Host Packets (flyers, etc).  Just curious, as I think this might help alot of newbies here as well as give some fresh insight to us veterans as well. Thanks.

Looking forward to hearing from EVERYONE here on WLPCtoo,
Marian

I also use recyclable host packets.  I use plastic 2-pocket folders with the prongs in the middle.  Staples periodically puts these on sale for around .25 each, so they're not real expensive, but stand up better than the heavy paper ones.

In the front pocket I put catalogs (usually about 4-5 catalogs).

Inside:

The first sheet is a clear binder pocket (they come in packages of 5, I think).  In the binder pocket I put a Host Checklist, 50 Friends in 5 Minutes guest list, and a recruiting flyer, "What Are Your Dreams" - I got it from Ginny, I think, and tweaked a little to suit me.  I print whatever is the current recruiting promotion flyer on the back and I put it in the pocket so that the "What Are Your Dreams" side is facing the back of the folder (so that's what they see when they turn the page - clear as mud?).

Behind the binder pocket are sheet protectors with the following information:

        * Host Benefits flyer (I only print the back side that has the benefits, not the
front with the theme show info)
        * Monthly Host Special flyer
        * How to Access My Website flyer
        * How to Have a $1,000 show flyer
        * Theme Show flyer (one page describing the current theme shows I offer) OR
recipe choices if they've already decided on a theme
        * Monthly Guest Special flyer
        * Special info flyers (Discontinued Items, HWC, etc.)
        * Your Life, Your Way Flyer

Back Pocket:

Outside order forms and invites (if they want them instead of using the website)

HTH!

I try to keep my host packets pretty simple and straight forward these days.  I use a two pocket folder.  it is not a recyclable packet, but the host usually gives it back to me the night of the show.

Left pocket:
Cooking Show Planner - highlighted and lots of stickers
How to have a $1000 show check list - i got it off a loop somewhere i think..i will attach it or post it to documents.
Guest list form for host to fill out with SASE envelope to return it to me
40 guests in 4 minutes

Right pocket:
3-4 catalogs
usually 5 outside order forms
guest special stapled to each catalog
new opportunity brochure
will be adding the opportunity dvd to each host packet this year

For catalog shows I send the same stuff except the guest list but i think i will keep the 40 guests in 4 minutes form to help the host with ideas of who to share the catalogs with.  I have a $1000 catalog show checklist which is virtually the same as the one for the cooking show.

Left side:
  10 OOF
  Guest special flyer
  Host special flyer
Do You Love a Bargain flyer (found on Joy's website)

Right side:
3 catalogs, 5 for catalog show
  Show Planner
  Come Join Us
Invitations filled out with 40 Guests in 4 Minutes wrapped around them (over in Documents, I'm pretty sure)

Biz card in slashes on left, sticker saying 5 orders before, 10 during and 5 after = a great show over slashes in right.

I keep mine pretty simple too and I also use two pocket folders and the hosts give them back to me.

Left pocket:
3 catalogs
1 copy of each the host and guest special
Opportunity brochure

Right Pocket
5 OOF
2 sheets of sticky lables
1 self addressed stamped envelope to return the lables
40 guests in a few minutes (40 in 4 min I just changed the name)
How to use my website
Some sort of coupon challenge or host bingo...got those from here on the board and tweeked them to my liking.
Show planner
Recipe for a Successful Show (also got that from here)

I'm thinking of adding a note to the inside that says...call me before I call you and you'll recieve $5 off your host order!

I keep mine pretty simple too. I've just started taking folders to shows with just the show planner, Come Join Us brochure, my business card and invitations in them.  I have copies of the Host specials, Guest specials and outside order forms and once they pick the month they want to host I put those in and add 3 catalogs.  I got tired of doing up a bunch for each month and then having to change them out after the month was over.  I add the catalogs when they book because I don't seem to go through as many of them that way. When I had my Host Packets done up a head of time I'd forget I had catalogs in them and when I got low I'd order more catalogs.  This way I can keep better track of how many catalogs I have left. Works for me!

I use a recycling folder as well, plastic folder (colored but see thru)  w/ prongs & sheet protectors.  Now, I'm just learning and will probably incorporate more from ideas shared, but hope mine is of help too...
Inside Pocket:
Catalogs (so you can see front of catalog from outside)
Business Card

Sheet Protectors:
Host Benefits Flyer - from company
Current Month Host & Guest Specials - download from CC
Next Month Host & Guest Specials - download from CC
Round Up From The Heart Flyer - download from CC
Your Life, Your Way Brochure & DVD - from company + Recruiting Promotion flyer if available - download from CC
Wedding Registry Flyer - from company
Fundraising Flyer - from company
*Other company flyers as available - HWC etc....

Back Pocket:
Cooking Show Planning Guide - from company
Guest Invitation List - from company
Outside Order Forms - download from CC
*I prefer to mail the invitations but can be put in back pocket too.

Thanks,

Rhonda

I started out making a recyclable packet using 3 ring binders with sheet protectors and a pencil bag but kept loosing them when hosts would disappear!   I now buy heavy duty zip lock bags (2 gal size) from a professional organizer I know.
5 catalogs and OOF
DYLAB
Host tic-tac-toe (I think I got it here)
40 guests in 4 minutes
Current host/guest special
Next month's host/guest special
I don't always put other flyers but usually put in some recruiting info. (Your life your way, Does the apron fit?) I haven't gotten back a single DVD I gave out (not that they are watching them over and over!) and they are kinda pricey to put in the packets and not get back.

If you're losing that many DVD's, you need to follow-up with the host.  Something like "I noticed you kept the Your Life Your Way DVD.  What interests you about The Pampered Chef opportunity?"  If you don't ask, someone else will.

I lose very few.  My problem is that I miss the ones taken from my guest folders because I have yet to properly establish a "full service check out."  I know where 90% of my DVDs are though.

No these are ones I have given to people who said they were interested in the opportunity so I gave them the DVD but when I call them they haven't had a chance to watch it yet!

I've adopted a "back to basics" approach to try to keep things simple for me and so the host doesn't get overwhelmed, especially if she's considering the opportunity. So I include catalogs, outside order forms, guest special flyers (one per catalog and one for host) host special flyer, show planner and a recruiting brochure of some type. I don't include the DVD unless I know they are thinking about it because I never seem to get them back. I put this all in a regular old 9 x 12 envelope.

The only non-recruiting-friendly thing I do is send the invites for my host because I've had too many last minute cancellations in my PC career that I like to have control over that but I always make sure to tell them that's not the "norm" so they would not have to do it that way. But I include a guest list form if I didn't require that I have the guest list returned before they got their packet, and some invites for hand delivery in case they forget someone on the mailing list.

Hakline,

I mentioned that I use a Bridal Shower flyer which was discontinued a couple years ago when they changed from the Gift Registry to the Wedding Registry.  At that time (I think it was the first couple of seasons for the Wedding Registry), we had a 2-sided 8-1/2x11 flyer for the Wedding Registry.  They discontinued it when they redesigned the brochure and and ran the ads in the Bridal magazines (I believe it was last spring) and went only with the Trifold Brochure.  I had ordered a bunch for a bridal show that I never did, so I still have quite a few.  I include both of these in my host and guest packets.

The planners normally have some small change every season.
