Hey, I just thought to strum up sales in April, why not offer a TAX-FREE Cooking Show like the "tax week" of April 15th, which would run from Sun, April 13th through Sat, April 19th? Anyone who books a show on any of those days/evenings will qualify for this special savings week-long event. But, just to those who ATTEND the shows not on outside orders. What do you think? Should I throw something like this in my newsletter next month? I'd like to hear your thoughts about it, too! Marian |

for those that have no Tax in their state - you could always do one of the following 1. take 1.50 off shipping 2. take 1.50 off an item 3. going big ----- spend XX and get 1 item on page 15 FREE (in USA it is the Grilling page - the most expensive item is the new Grill Basket --- at $25.50 but you can always order that under your hosts order and get her discount) but the Basting Bottle is on that page ---- and that is a GREAT Hit esp. with the summer months coming up just an idea |

One of the consultants in my cluster has done this type of show. She offered to anyone that would host a cooking show on April 15 (or whatever day was the last day to mail your tax return) no sales tax on all orders. She told us that it was a great show and the commission more than made up for the sales tax she paid out of her pocket. I'm thinking about offering this to get some April bookings. JoAnne |

It sounds great but does anyone have any ballpark figure on how much you could expect to have to eat out of pocket. |

on a $1000 show at 6.5% tax is $65 and comm. is at 22% is $220 so you make $155. Hope that helps. Jen |

The subject on the email was "Save your pennies" and this morning I already have 1 order!
I also did the incentive of bring an adult friend & an order get free Shipping and free tax!
